Hany Istók Nature Trail
The 5 km long nature trail starts at the Birdwatchers’ House of Esterházy, lying halfway between the settlements Osli and Bősárkány. The building is one of the oldest birdwatchers’ houses in Hungary and includes an exhibition as well. The trail leads from the birdwatchers’ house first to the strictly protected Csíkos Alder Wood, then to the fairly old Király Alder Wood to end at the Király Lake. Following the turf excavation the lake was overgrown with vegetation. Once Hany Istók, a wild boy was found at this very same spot.
